Okay another bilstein 5100 and 08 4x4 coils question, I'm confused. I've been reading the how to and other post and some say you can just put them together and the how to sticky on here says you need stuff from your old setup? I just ordered my coils and shocks and just trying to understand too see if me and a mechanic friend can do it at home or I should just take it to a shop but Idk if they'll follow the how to if I print it out since it's pretty long.

To my understanding I have to take my old struts off take off the bracket lift spacer from the top it compress the springs so I can take off the top plate and reuse correct? That and one of the washers/ bushings? And then that's it with the old struts? Put them to the side and then grab 08 coils put them on the 5100's and put lower cup mount to desired setting (middle) compress the coils enough to reinstall that top plate then follow the washer/bushings order like on the how to on here install the bracket spacer back on top then install onto truck? That's it right? Or is there something I'm missing? Cause you obviously can't put the 5100 and 08 coils together cause I need that top plate right? So I couldn't just walk up to a shop with the struts and coils and say can you put these together? Sorry if I sound lost but I've been in a reading frenzy for the install for these since I order them and I wanna get everything right so everything goes as smooth as possible.

Okay cool well I received the struts and coils today, and turns out one of the struts is missing a washer. Since I got them through amazon I have to send the shock back and they send me another since they don't carry spare parts. Should get it tomorrow. Quick question anyone have measurements of the 08 4x4 coils? I ordered the moog ones 81194. But just trying to make sure everything is right so it goes smooth.

Thanks for that info scan999... Hmm mine measure 14 1/2 ? Still considered 08+ 4x4 coils? got them moog and part number is the #81194 which on most sites specifically says for 4wd. So I'm good right even though it's a half inch off? Or should I ask for a replacement?
