I searched but didn't see a previous thread. I want to replace my factory fog light housings just because my HID's ruined them. Switched to LED's so it doesn't happen again. Any feed back on quality OEM style housings?
Are you sure you had factory fog light housing? The factory one is glass so you shouldn't have had issues with HIDs in them.
If it were me, I'd get straight up OEM ones due to the fact they are glass housing and not plastic. If not, any of the eBay ones are all about the same and should work just fine.
Hmmmm, that's interesting. When I still had the factory bumper on the Titan, I ran 35w 5k HIDs and never had an issues with the fog housing. And generally speaking, with a search of the forum, the factory OEM glass housing is the best option while running HIDs as 99% you won't have issues.
I still stick to my post though, if he's running LED ones now, the housing isn't going to matter much. Find your favorite eBay flavor and go from there.
True. I don't doubt it, I'd love to have glass. I didn't even notice until I replaced the Silverstars with LED's and saw that the middle of the lens had melted a bit and was opaque.
Mine are definitely plastic and definitely OEM. I found two part numbers from Nissan. One part number is the kit with switch and all that jazz and another is for just the housing. Left or right. The individual housing is damn near as much as the kit. Should I just buy the kit and shelf parts I don't need or am I missing something?
Hey Irish, i've seen replacements on Ebay but i'm trying to find some with the wires and a switch. doesn't necessarily have to be OEM for me but all i can find are the chrome one's. i'd like to find the smoke kit.
