I have a hole in my muffler so Im going to swap it. Im hoping someone can make a suggestion? I've narrowed it down to flowmaster 50 or maggy 18. I want to give the tone a bit of a bump but nothing drastic. Just a bit more growl so I think those two are good. From what I've read on here the maggy 18 sounds a bit better with less drone. I've read that people are using the dual 2.25 in with 2.5 out which didnt make sense to me because I thought the stocker was single in/single out. Can anyone confirm for sure what the part number for maggy 18 is for an 09 pro?

I found this: its on a 2010 CC Pro-4X, "Item #: 12588, Description: Magnaflow universal satin stainless muffler 5x11x22in single 3" inlet/outlet and dual 2.5" inlet/outlet".

I know Nightowl confirmed the maggy is best and I've seen a few threads that have said flows are no good for our trucks. I have the Banks because I love the sound of it, but I've read on here a few times that the maggy's have less drone than other mufflers and aren't obnoxiously loud. Hope this helps!!

thanks for the help but the above link is the 22 which I hear is louder. I would like the 18 and based on mag's site the correct one is 12468?

18 will be louder less sound dampening but if you still have stock manifolds an b-pipes it will sound good if you have plans for long tubes go 22in your ears will thank you. My 11 had dual in @ 2.25 center single out at 2.75 it is an odd size.

I would stay away from the flowmasters as well. I thought the larger muffler was supposed to be quieter than the smaller? Stock on the 2008+ is dual in single out. Before 2008 was a Y pipe to single in single out.

two questions now. Do you recommend the 18 or 22 for what Im looking for sound wise?
Also what inlet and outlet sizes does the 09 need for just muffler swap?

I went 18 on mine when I did it before headers sounded great nice deep rumble no drone had no intention of headers till both manifolds cracked. But mine was 2.25 in an out was 3in welded just fine to stock pipes.

spoke to mag and the 12588 is the correct one. 22 will be less loud than the 18

Magnaflow 18" is actually #12258, ran it before running the JBA catback. The drivers side exhaust pipe will need to be cut at the top just after the hanger and turned 180 degrees. it will look like this.
