Man it's been so long since I've posted in this sub-forum. I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

I was just wondering if anyone still goes to the drag strip with their trucks?

I still frequent the local 1/4 mile track but I haven't made any passes in the T for years...

I really really miss the days when we had this forum booming with daily racing activities, war stories and meet up's.

I give Papa_D all the credit for founding this group. We had some seriously dedicated guys from all over the country who were pushing the limits of what these trucks can do.

That would be awesome, to try running the truck at the drag strip. The closest to me is about three hours away down in edinburg texas. They run every weekend, if nothing has changed since i worked in the valley.

All friday afternoon/night and saturday you would hear the cars and trucks running at the old airstrip

I took my daughter a few months ago and let her run the truck. She had a blast!

That was far from serious racing though, it was just a test and tune night, but still a good time

I remember reading about it. That was super cool. My kids did autocross since the strip is so far away and they still love racing

Was always fun learning from from the racing guys (gweasel77) ... I had a little fun at meets, being one of the fastest trucks, but never took it to the track. My truck is getting a little long in the tooth for that now... HA!

It's like a reunion of the old farts in this thread. I took my Titan to the dragstrip and had a lot of fun.

I've thought about finding a wrecked Leaf and tweaking it into a drag racer, but even a stock Tesla (with the right options) would put it to shame I suspect.
