Hi all. I did a Morimoto Mini retrofit two years ago into OEM headlights. Install went reasonably well.

After a failed shutter, I ended up replacing one projector. Anyways two years later and both lenses have spiderweb looking cracks throughout the entire lense. Additionally, the clear coat on the top of the lenses is failing.

Now the truck does live outside, but I stay up on the waxing, claybarring and all of that. Only 20k miles since the install and lenses are trashed. Could this be from the projector heat maybe? The headlights weren't new but we're near mint condition when the retrofit was done.

Trying to decide if I'm going to do another retrofit or just get some Anzos and call it a day.

It's nearly always sun that does it. Were they OEM or aftermarket? I've had my Depo's for very nearly 2 years now with 1 year that they have been retrofitted and they still look brand new.
