Any personal opinions on the cst 7" lift?

1467 Views 15 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Yellomantis
Im looking to lift my titan. Im leaning toward the cst 7" lift package. Does anyone have any experience with this package? Any pros or cons? Any thoughts would help. For the record I have already read prg's write up on the different lifts out there and I really don't want to bother him with a bunch of questions, untill I have a better idea of what I want. I know hes a busy man. Thanks in advance.

30k miles with no problems, period. No squeaks, no loose hardware, no alignment problems. The ride is like stock. The truck has towed more than 5k miles just this year, 4k miles at the more than 9k lbs and handles it well. I doubt you will have any regrets over the quality of the kit. PRG is where I got my kit and shocks, Greg was very helpful.
I like mine a lot. I put a lot of ware and tear on it too and it handles great.
I beat on mine every chance I get. Still keeps coming back for more! Buy from PRG and you won't be sorry.
Do you guys have any pics to post? what was the actual height you gained? Did either of you upgrade the coilovers and if so what did you go with? Did either of you go with the deaver mini pack for the rear or did you like the hanging *** look? And lastly which rear shocks did you go with? I know its a lot of questions i just wanna make sure i make the right decision. Thanks
My setup is in my sig, but here's some pix:

I definetaly plan on calling him, but I just don't want to bother him yet since it will be a few months untill im ready to purchase. I've been reading posts on here and it sounds like Id have to be an idiot to order anywhere else. Also Ive been checking prices elsewhere and most places don't even come close to his. So my mind is already made up as where to buy.
Mantis,
I love your setup man, it looks real good. If you don't mind me asking, whats your thoughts on the kumhos your running? I was at the tire shop yesterday putting new tread on my work car and I was checking those out. They looked good just don't recall hearing much on them.

The Kumho's I WAS running were CORR specific and were waaaaaaay too soft for street use. The sh!tty think is the street version of them is only available in 18" or larger rim diameter.
Whats the difference between the street version and the ones you were running? Are you saying to stay away from these?
As far as the rear suspension goes I bought some rear blisteen (sp??) shocks from greg. The CST 7" lift kit comes with a 4" block for your leaf springs so the rear doesn't sag at all. As far as the front goes, you'll need to upgrade if you are going to be going offroad a lot. The CST 7" comes with a spacer for your coilovers and the stock coilovers just suck. I replaced mine with the Radflo 2.5" internal reservoir coilovers. I love them.

Watch the first clip in this video. This may or may not help you in your decision. I was just testing out some whoops.

Nice vid, you definetaly have a bad *** truck. Sounds damn nice too. I won't be offroading to much and when I do it will probably be just taking it easy at the dunes. But after seeing the video and listening to you guys talk about the cst my mind is made up. Now I just have to figure out what rear shocks I want to go with. It will most likely be the billstein.

The rubber on the CORR tires is really soft, so soft that if you pushed on one of the tread blocks, they would flex a lot. The only way to get them is to pick them up at a CORR race from one of the race teams.

I can't speak for the street version, so you might want to post up a new thread asking others that have had the street version.
