I am new to the whole hard drive MP3 players but am seriously considering either an ipod or a Rio Karma but I want to know...do you have to use the battery power on these units or does anyone make a cigarette lighter (power port) adapter. Even though this would require an additional cable, I really hope this would be an option, especially for longer trips.

I highly recommend the Monster Cable car cord (for Gen 3 iPods). This unit is fused to prevent overcharging & electrical spikes, plus it has a true line-out. All you need is a stereo mini-mini plug cable to plug into the Titan. The volume is controlled by the Titan's volume control when using line-out. Do not go out of the headphone jack on the iPod, the quality is very poor.

You actually may have answered my question as I was typing it...you read minds? So is the monster cable adapter to provide power to the ipod or Karma then or is it for the audio connection??
