I got an offer in the mail this week from my courtesy nissan. It says they will buy back my titan for 100% msrp, I called and they said they would buy it back for the price that I paid for it, as long as it had no major body damage, and they would deduct for high miles... does this sound legit ? if so Im going to go pick me up a new pro4x saturday...

Dang thats freaking awesome. I wish I got that letter! I would trade up as well.
I got one too awhile ago. It screams bullsh*t to me. I remember reading that they deduct a lot for miles, condition etc. Google it! Its not just nissan that does this
I can't see them giving you MSRP - incidentals. unless they consider a scratch a major damage component which requires a total paint job.

Reminds me of that commercial, Discount.....do you ?... Discount...

but in this case.... Oh you put 14k miles a year for the past 3 year, MINUS!

you have a small door ding, MINUS!

oh you did the PWM, MINUS!!!

;)

imagine my truck. 9k miles average over the last 4 years.

garage kept

no dents nor door dings

and them giving me the MSRP of the time of 27k thats 8k more than I paid for it.

No harm in checking it out.
I guess, Im going in for an oil change on saturday, and they are gunna tell me what the deal is too.. if it goes well Ill be in a new pro4x this weekend
I'd be sure to do some homework first. See what Titans are selling for in your area on Craigslist and elsewhere. Check KBB.

There's no way the dealer isn't going to make out on this deal...just don't let them get more out of you than they can.

You will most likely have to pay MSRP for the new one. Had a deal something like that offered to me once.
The SnapOn guy comes in a couple weeks ago and told a co worker I wanna buy your old Snapon box it's a collectors item.I told my co worker the guy was full of sh**.Last week he comes in again says I'll give you $2000 if you buy a $10000.00 box.AAH there's the catch.May sound like a good deal but they'll always getcha in the end.Just my 2cents.

These offers are sent out to strike interest. The dealership is not going to give you anything. If they give you what you paid and that's not going to happen they would keep the $4500 rebate, you would pay full sticker. You would not be able to take the 0% rate and they would mark your interest rate up a couple of points. Then the payoff comes into play, add that neg equitiy back on top of your new truck price and your payment is......:crying: this should explain it. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/fl_courtesy_toyota_brandon.html

your not busting my bubble, Im just trying to see if anyone knew if it was worth showing up or not. Id rather not waste my time if the offer isnot good.

I paid MSRP for the one im in now, dont really care if I pay MSRP for the new one as long as the offer is exactly what they told me.

I figured it was just to get me in the door. If they buy my truck for the price I paid, Ill be happy to buy a brand new one with sticker price, they can keep the rebate.. I owe 11k on my 07 and paid what 38 on the sticker ? even if I spend 40 on my new one I will only owe around 13k on a 2011... Im not going to to it if I have to finance more then 16k. after that it wont be worth it to me, Ill just pay this off and get a superduty when I can get rid of this
What happened when you went to Courstey?
can u tell us what happen? did you get a new pro4x?
If you do end up trading, I have dibs on that fabtech lift. baha
sorry I never went, the sales person never called me back, and I ended up having to do something that day. Im ready to part this truck out I hate it so much..Ive had 2 alignments on my new rack and its still eating my new tires !. the steering wheel shakes left to right while im driving and the brakes are making noises... I went to a friends shop hew owns, they do a lot of custom bmws with horsepower freak turbos and high end stuff, were going to work on making some new tie rod ends that will get rid of the angle from rack to knuckle, they will have heim joints. I figured why my racks keep breaking, the angle they are at is stretching them and when I hit bumps it is pushing them together and splitting the rack... I figure that will be my last effort to keep this on the road... if I cant go back to stock I will part it out and sell it.

There are usually one of two catches with this. Either they will "pay" you what you paid for it, then add the difference between that and trade-in value onto your new loan, or they may pay you MSRP of the BASE vehicle price, which is often less than trade-in value of a higher-end model if the truck is only a year or two old. That has become a common gimmick around here. Go look up the MSRP of the XE 2wd model as that's likely what they would offer.
