Anyone using a dongle on aftermarket HU to "screen mirror" from a smart phone?

newly registered member here...long time creeper of threads tho...going to be getting a aftermarket HU for my 2010 king cab and was wondering if anyone is using a USB dongle for mirroring screen of smart phone? I know there are some headunits with android audio ect...but I'm looking to be able to stream some movies from online websites while I sit in my truck for hours a day "working". I have seen a few youtube videos of some but thought I would post here to see what kind if any you guys are using.

thanks in advance

So what I have done it purchased a double din stereo running android.

like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/TOCADO-Navigation-Stereo-Android-Bluetooth/dp/B01N20JO71/ref=sr_1_5?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1494611333&sr=1-5&keywords=android+stereo+6.0

It runs just like an android phone and I simply hotspot my actual phone for data and then run everything off the stereo. It also has an sd card slot which i load with movies, tv shows and music so i do not have to hotspot all the time.

I can watch espn and hbo while (my wife is) driving!

I have a few diffent version in my cars of this android stereo. Reliability is good but quality can be.... meh.

The one in my gti was very plug and play. sound is good and it integrated with the steering wheel and aftermarket rear camera perfectly.

The one in my titan is a generic android deck. I got it wired up with a metro harness but I have not yet dug in to wiring an access steering wheel control adapter. The sound quality is not as good as name brand stuff but if you are familiar with android phones, it is pretty straight forward.

I had the pioneer android auto deck in my last suv. nex4100 i think. great sound and easy controls and you plug in your phone to get android auto or car play. Only negative is no watching hbo go or hulu. but it did play movies and tv shows from files if you run the traditional parking brake bypass.
