I would get an amp that can drive 250 watts RMS into 4 ohms. Stock RF system uses 2 ohm speakers and a pretty lame amp. I don't think it will do much with that sub.
If retained, continue to power oem sub from oem amp. Put new sub in box of appropriate volume under rear seat and power from new amp.
The only reason you perceive the oem sub as hitting hard is because they mount it under the driver's seat to create that effect. You will probably want to disconnect it after you hear a decent sub powered by a decent amp.
