i was reading a few trends about people having problems with backing up

a few ideas i came up with are:

a camera in the position of one of the back up sensors

benifits are that its a camera
and even if it has bad dept perception you can keep backing up until the thing behind you is almost touching the camera

another idea is something i know would work but im not sure how
i dont know which companies make them but there are digital tape measures
and they pretty much measure distance without anything but IR or sonar
the only problem i see is removing the monitor and buttons and transfering them to the inside of the cab

good placment would be in the overhead compartments or maybe the cubby near the shifter

but im not sure if the screen is removable or if the bumper is hollow if not you could install under bumper and im pretty sure you could get it to be powerd by the car battery

if anyone is up for doing this mod and compleats it succesfully please PM me about it or hopefully make a toutoral

I have a wide angle camera mounted right above the trailer hitch, this way I can not only can I see if I am going to hit something, but I can also back up to the trailer by myself.
