Backup light wire tapping on tow kit and aux power

I have been reading high and low on here about how to correctly wire up lights on the Titan using relays, add-a-circuits, etc. There is plenty of information here, but I need to get the answers refined and filtered down, please.

I am getting ready to install my KC 517 backup light kit on my truck. I have the tow package. I have read "hints" that I can tap into a reverse light circuit on the tow light plug as the "trigger" for my relay. Is this true? If so, which wire is it, please? If not, where would be the best spot to tap into the reverse light for the trigger?

Also, for primary power, I heard I can tap into the auxiliary power plug in the bed (I have an '05). Is this true? If so, how exactly to I gain access to the aux plug wires? My aux plug appears to be rivited into the bed. Do I get to it from underneath or by removing the driver's side taillight or something?

Pictures would be totally cool, if possible, on either of these topics.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Although i can't give you the info you're asking for(I don't know) what you want to do is the right way to go about it.
Yes you can tap into the reverse wire at the tow harness plug. It should be a yellow/red stripe wire (double check to be sure).

Thanks. I'll just use a wire probe, turn on the key, stick it in reverse and see if the proble lights up.
And FWIW, I'm not sure I would tap the power point in the bed. I'd just run it clean from the battery. Not saying it wouldn't work tapping that sourse, but when I finish my ongoing project, I'll run from the battery to prevent the risk of blowing any fuses not specific to the lights themselves. Just my .02
