I was wondering if anybody could help me with my bad gas mileage problem. i just bought a 2012 titan pro 4x with 100,000 miles on it a couple of weeks ago and i am only getting about 9-10 miles a gallon with it. I had an 06 titan before this and would get 14mpg with that so something must be wrong. Right when i bought it i went to fill it up and it wouldnt take gas, it kept spitting it back out at me and then the check engine light came on and it threw the p0448 code. The solenoid on the evap canister was shorted out. I replaced the solenoid and the check engine light is off now but i noticed im still getting bad gas mileage and it still doesnt take gas well when i fill up. When i changed the solenoid i noticed the evap canister was dirty and blew it out with air and put it back together. If i replaced the canister would that help my gas mileage and make it take gas better when i fill up? Or is there something else i am missing? Also my speedometer is off by 3mph and i have stock size tires on, is that connected to the bad gas mileage problem?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm guessing cracked manifolds.

I agree with Fishn, it sounds like manifolds. The fuel spitting is a different issue, I bet. That one is a tough one to run down sometimes, but it's likely a venting issue so check all the hoses and lines from the tank.

The two post above would be a good place to start. I have a 2012 pro4x with 6" lift and 37s. I was getting 10.5 before I regeard. As of now I'm getting about 11.5.
