Hi All,
My wife let me get a toy for the Titan for fathers day. I decided on the Banks Monster. Well it came in on Thursday and I installed it on Friday.
I disconnected the battery while I did the work, total of about 1.5 hours. I started it up and drove it around getting on it as much as I could to show off and make my smile even bigger as I was pulling into the house I noticed the SES light came on. I freaked as I just bought the truck a few weeks ago, used of course.
I went on this forum to see if there was a fix for resetting the light as I had just done a mod I assumed it needed to be reset. I tried the hit the pedal for 10 seconds and 5 times fast thing but it didnt do anything so I disconnected the battery for about 3 hours and it worked. I had to go downstreet for the wife and the light came on again. I pulled into Auto Zone and had them run the OBDII on it and it said catalytic converter flow through. I asked and the guy said he reset it and it took. I hope so! It has been running a little weird but it might be me.
Should I disconnect the battery overnight? Should I go back to the dealer and have them look at it as it is under a "extended warranty" but I dont think the cat is part of it. It just seems that it lost power in take off especially. Any help would be apreciated!!

Thanks for all the help, I figured out that I needed to reset the computer by turning it the the on position and hitting the pedal 5X fast waiting 10 seconds and holding the pedal down for 12 seconds then waiting 10 seconds and restarting it, cleared the code, runs like a dream now!!!

Did you unplug the rear o2 sensors when you put the exhaust, maybe you forgot to reconnect them. Because if autozone erased it it shouldnt comeback on unless theres a fault!
I shouldve made it clearer, the light never back back on after Auto Zone reset it. The truck ran like crap. I was on TT one night and saw something about restting the SES and came across a few things about resetting everything. Now at every oil change I plan on doing this, it takes 3 minutes total. I wish I knew how to save the page so you guys could see it. Thanks for everyones help on here!!
