I'm happy with my Duralast (AutoZone) battery, but it's no longer available, except in the higher-quality, "Gold" version. Here's the key: You want a group 27F battery (12 1/16 inch long), not the group 24F battery, which will fit in your tray, but look bad because it's shorter (10 3/4 inch long). By many accounts, the performance difference between the two can be minimal. Shop around. Stay with 27F. My own preference, is that I want top-post battery only. I do not want a battery with both top and side posts. Just extra places for corrosion, sparking, and it looks like a "one size fits all - universal" battery. When installing, make sure both terminals are squeaky-clean. Wire-brushed and free of all corrosion. After installing, cover both terminals with Vaseline. There is a LOT going on at the positive terminal of our batteries, i.e. many connections, wires, and even fuses. Once corrosion starts, it spreads fast. An extra 30 minutes detailing these important connections will pay years of dividends!
P.S. I just found out the 27F battery is what you get with a towing package. Otherwise it's the 24F. Measure yours to be sure it will fit in your tray.

Thank you MartyG007 for your thoughtful response. I didn't know until I started shopping for one that there were two different batteries for the Titan. I measured mine and found that it was the 27f. I usually buy from Advance or Walmart, but neither one carried the 27f in stock. This morning my wife called Hudson Nissan (where I purchased my truck) And they had the Nissan battery in stock cheaper than anywhere else I checked. Since the OEM battery lasted for almost 6 years, I figure it's a good choice. 24 months free replacement with 60 months pro-rate. Perfect fit and looks pretty to boot. I'm good to go now, thanks again.

My SV came with the frame mounted receiver, trailer light plug, and towing mode transmission switch but I didn't know that was a "Tow package." I had to wire my brake controller to match the factory pigtail, I would think that a tow package would have a dash mounted controller. Towed a 6500 lb Travel Trailer on one long round trip and it handled wonderfully with plenty of power and great stability with a load-leveling hitch and friction sway control. Anyway battery is good to go and I'm really impressed with the new high-speed starter spinup, lol.

C-141IFE, yes, you get a lot with the towing package. Possibly more cooling items, as well. I'm just glad they included the brake controller port, with an easy-to-use pigtail, designed to match to virtually any brake controller. Some truck manufactures are now including the controller, but 5 years ago there was less standardization. (Mine is also a 2012). Some wanted to keep "their own" brake controller, either because of features, price, or just what they were used to. Our TT is about 4000 lbs empty, and when loaded, plus what we haul in the back (generator, gas, propane, grill, chairs, tools), we too are towing about 6000 lbs. From here in SC, we've taken it across the Midwest, to/from KS twice, camped in Chicago!, and circled all around FL! Towed that camper on its maiden voyage through the city streets of Little Havana, in Miami! The Titan never balks, or gets hot. We're definitely happy campers! LOL

Keep in mind the first generation Titan had essentially the same styling, inside and out, throughout its production run. Adding a dash mounted controller is a feature that only began appearing in the past five years. If you spend the money on a 2016-18 Titan, you'll get the dash mounted trailer controller and a bunch of other modern features. But it'll cost quite a bit more than your first-gen Titan.
