Bedliner question...

I am going to add the utility track system to my titan, but I am also planning to have the pray in bedliner done as well. My question is should I do the bedliner first or does it matter?

If you haven't gotten any of the holes for the Utilitrak drilled yet, I'd spray first and then drill the holes for the trak. I can't imagine any problems drilling thru the bedliner and the bedliner will be adding thickness to the bed (about .125") so drilling after would be better in my opinion.
If the holes are already drilled, just make sure to cover them up or put screws/paper in each of the holes so the bedliner doesn't get into the holes.
Sweet, thanks!
No problem and Good Luck!! They are both great mods for the Titan!!
just remember that the non utilitrack bed is not as thick as the utilitrack bed so you should be careful.
I was reading that on the other posts regarding the utili-trak. I dont plan on tying down anything majorly heavy or carry to much weight with it. I wish I had held out and gotten one from the factory but oh well. Even if it is not as heavy-duty the added ability and benefits will be great! Thanks for the info!
yeah the utilitrack is really great, it was one of the main reasons I bought a titan.

proof? Look at the beds next to each other. The utilitrack bed weighs 100lbs more than the regular bed.

the bed is reinforced to handle the utilitrack tie downs. Look at the SE vs LE and you will see standard curb weights are almost 200lbs different on a CC 4x4... Not all of this is leather and power seats, majority is the bed.
I did same thing as you, I added bottom rails and a spray in liner. I pre- drilled the hols in the bed slightly over-sized prior to the liner install. I also used quality primer and paint to make sure no rust started under the liner. As far as factory Uni-Track vs. non, the UT bed has top hat sections added at the mounting holes for the rails . From what I can tell crawling under the two trucks. I dunno about the 100lbs added, the additional bracing I saw was no where near that, I think most of the difference is from the sprayed in liner, not thicker material. (not saying your wrong, just reporting my opinion). I bought the rails from courtesyparts.com but altered some of the mounting hole locations to allow me the ability to use 1.5" wide , 3/16"thick aluminum flat stock and fender washers to support the rails. I took some pics and am planning on making a post on what I did when I get the chance.

Mneal that would be great to have your post when I get started. Also what brand spray liner did you use? I have access to Rhino and Line-X here, dont knwo if there are others, anyone have any negatives to one or the other? The rhino is about 70 bucks cheaper but the guy doing it is new to it.
That sux i want to lose wt not gain!

I would highly sugest Line-x over Rhino. Rhino is a little more rubbery and tacky feeling, but gouges much easier and fades. Line-x is a little harder and way more duarable. Ive had both and i would say the Factory Nissan sprayin is between the 2. Factory liner sux, but i dont want to spray over it and add more wt
my titan (4x4 cc long bed SE) did not come with the utility track system-

what will it cost to have that added? do i just go to the dealer to get it?

thanks!
