Just curious to see what you guys drove before your Titan.

This is my first truck and I'm pretty happy with it. I traded a somewhat problematic 04 RX-8 for and even though I miss it, I certainly do like my Titan.

Here she is:

2003 Honda Accord Coupe, Black, Eibach springs, AEM Intake, Window Tint, (2) 10" Sony Xplod Subs, Optima battery, 17" chrome wheels. I loved it, but needed more interior room, room to haul stuff, and more power. Found everything in a nice package called the Nissan Titan.......

79' F150
90' Grand Am
92' Isuzu Rodeo
96' Pathfinder
00' Maxima
05' TITAN'

I finally got smart around 96' - 97' and went with Nissan. No looking back now. Man, that pathfinder was an underpowered slug though. Glad Nissan finally started to put some power in their cars.

I drove a 2000 Frontier 2wd 4 banger, man was that thing slow, but I loved her. That was the most reliable vehicle I ever owned. It was easy to park, it was very manuverable in tight spaces. It was just a cozy little truck not comfortable at all , but very practical.

Before the 2005 titan I'm driving now I had:

2003 dodge ram 1500 qc, hemi, 4x4
2001 dodge ram 1500 qc, sport, 4x4
2000 dodge ram 1500 qc, sport, off road, 4x4
1997 dodge ram 2500, 4x4
1995 dodge ram 2500, 4x4
All of these trucks were bought new by me. All at the same dealer except the 2001. I usually put about 25,000 miles on each year. With the exception of the 2001 the same dealer did all the service too. You won't believe how many people thought my titan was a new dodge model.

The last was a 2000 F-150 extracab with 6" Fabtech lift (hated the kit) and 35" BFG mudders, 4.56 gear set, K&N FIPK, Gibson Supertruck exhaust, Superchip, nice Eclipse and Alpine sound system. Not a bad truck but it was a dog.

I traded a 98 VW TDI diesel injected New Beetle.

That thing NEVER knew what a gas station even looked like......sometimes I kick myself for that, but now I figure I could put one in the bed of my Titan! lol

Before purchasing my Titan, I was in a 2001 Dodge Durango. This is my first pickup as well. I was going to go with a Dodge Ram Hemi until I test drove the Titan. The wifey drives an 04 Maxima. Guess you can say we're a Nissan family.

Nissan runs in our blood as well.

My wife drives an '01 Sentra SE 2.0. She loves this car as do I.. it handles pretty darn good.

My previous ride was a '96 Toyota Tacoma. 4WD, Extra cab LX. It was my first truck and it definately treated me right. 177,000 miles and the only thing demanded other than the typical maintenance was a starter... Dependable. Was a tough drive (800 miles) to pick up my Titan...thinking about letting her go, but after seeing the Titan ... A good life to ya Toyo.

I just hope my Titan will treat me like my Toyo did.

1955 Chevy Pickup 235 straight 6, 3 speed on the column slowly being restored. Truck I learned to drive on. When I was about 5 I would feed cows on the farm with Dad in the back throwing hay and slide off the seat to hit the clutch. Not sure what the gearing is but about 55 and the thing sounds like its redlined. I still love that steering wheel that looks about 6' in diameter and the armstrong steering!!!!

1978 Chevy Nova (Hatchback where the seats laid down!!) :rockon

1986 Chevy Pickup Shortbed

1994 Chevy S-10 POS!!!!!!!

1998 Chevy Silverado Ext Ext Cab (My brother just sold it with 230,000 miles original engine/transmission) Excellent truck.

2002 Chevy Silverado Z-71 Ext Cab. OK truck. 5.3 Vortec not even in the same ballpark as the original 350 in the 98'. My brother is now driving this truck wishing he had the 98' back. 130,000 miles and counting.

2005 Nissan Titan. As you can see, I've NEVER drove anything but a Chevy, and never thought I'd even consider. But I kept coming back to the Titan and so far been very pleased with it.

Later,
Matt
