I have an '08 Titan XE CC with BT, Trac Pakg and only 1.5 weeks old. A day or two after taking delivery, I noticed a squeaking noise when the engine was on in the engine compartment.. After opening the hood with the engine running I found the noise to be coming from the belt on the left side.

At first I thought this was condensation, or a new belt just needing to be broken in. But even after taking a 800 mile trip the noise is still there. You can't hear it while driving or from inside the cabin. Only when standing outside at idle can you hear the squeaking. I am going back to the dealer to get it checked on Tuesday just wanted some ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Do not use any type of belt dressing, or let the dealer even consider it. They can replace the belt in five minutes. Mine was making a chirping type marble in a can noise at cold startup with 5000 miles on the odometer. A light water spray on the belt silenced the noise instantly, so I then knew for sure it was the belt and not a bearing.

I would let the dealer handle it, it might be a bad bearing in the pulley.
