Take into consideration the cost efficiency, performance, design, look, etc.) If so, on what grounds. If not, on what grounds?

Cost as in purchase price? Similarly equipped competition is priced higher .. Ford, GM & Dodge.
Cost in depreciation? Nissan in general depreciates less than domestic products “even though it’s more domestic product”
Cost of repair? Considering typical bumper 3 year warrantee we won’t know for 2 years 8 ½ months. Parts I expect to cost more but to replace less often.
Cost of Insurance? Same
Fuel efficiency? Simmilar, better on average than Dodge similar to Ford perhaps less than GM

Performance? as in Et’s. Well it wins 0-60 if that’s what you are interested in
Performance as in stopping? 4 wheel disks mixed but hard to beat
Performance as for Towing? Wins
Performance as in Handling? This is subjective is it not?
Comfort is subjective but I like it.

Design. Given the higher ground clearance, utility track 1st, Utility cargo bay, 5 speed Automatic I’d say it wins here as well.

Look? Subjective I like it, but buy what you want what appeals to you & be happy with it.

I'm sorry my post was not long enough. I usually like to start with broad, open-ended questions...

Is there anything you don't like about it? I think, then, i should rephrase my question to: What does the Titan lack?

hwwaaahhhhh,

Me and my wife both LOVe this truck to the tune of 5500 miles and we will have owned it exactly 2 months this coming Friday.

Only things we would 'change' on our King Cab would be the graphite interior vice sand. Sand is OK, I just personally like the Graphite color better. Second thing we would change is to 'add' pop out side windows for the rear windows on the Kingcab so rear passengers could make thier own air.

Really, thats IT!

Unbiasedly, would you say that this truck is THE best? (Take into consideration the cost efficiency, performance, design, look, etc.) If so, on what grounds. If not, on what grounds?
cost- TITAN. best price for what it is. when i tell people i got my LE for only 29K they give me the "your kidding!". of course you can get a dodge or chevy with a 4k rebate, but we all know about the reliability of those guys. tundra is overpriced and ford is ford.

performance- once again, TITAN. the hemi does come close, but from what i have seen the endurance has the hemi beat. if your looking for 0-60 & 1/4 mile, the TITAN is your truck. if you want to tow a huge load, TITAN is also your truck, only the F-150 has it beat, and only by a couple pounds.

interior- F-150. I have been in them all, and the lariet f-150 was nicer than my LE interior. the TITAN interior is nicer than the chevy, tundra, and ram. i admit some interior parts do feel kind of plasticy on the TITAN, but i enjoy the look much better. the chevy interior is old and "back to the future" like. the tundra is very plain jane, and the ram is also lookin pretty old school. the TITAN also has more interior space than the others. i sat in them all back-to-back-to-back one day, TITAN is bigger and roomier than the rest. the tundra DC comes in 2nd.

exterior- TITAN. once again, the ram comes close, but the TITAN is very tough and unique. i know people like to say the ram is tough looking, but when i look at it all i see is a cartoony grill. it looks like somethin out of toontown or some old cartoon with the car that could talk and had a face. once again the tundra is plain jain and, f-150 is too much of spaceship lookin thing, and the chevy is just old, again.

build quality- tundra. im not a huge toyota guy anymore, but toyota always brings that typical toyota polish to their vehicles. everything always feels secure and like they spent time on it.

now some small individual awards:

best truck for pickin up the ladies- tie ram/TITAN
best truck for the weekend warrior- tundra
truck with the best name- TITAN
funnest truck to mod up- ram
truck i would wanna tow something in- f-150
truck i would wanna take a long trip in- TITAN
truck i would expect to last me 10 years- tundra
girliest looking truck- tundra
most innovative truck- TITAN
best overall truck- TITAN

anything you would change guys?

just why you chose the f-150 over the titan in towing, i know its rated higher in lbs but the 150's engine cant pull the truck that well w/o a load imo.

yah they cant pull the truck well but those 150's are made doin hard work, towing etc. the 5.4 isn't designed for speed, but for work.

i know that ford make a good engine. :upsidedow but seriously, even with its new design theres no way in hell its made better, even "for work", then nissans endurance. do you know how much nissan invested in the engine plant alone here? saying fords engine is made for work is a poor excuse for it lacking power.

so your denying that the new 5.4 triton lacks power? just cuz it's slow off the line doesnt mean its weak. look, im no ford fan by a longshot, but im very unbiased and like to look at both sides of the playing field evenly and the new 5.4 does not lack power by a longshot. ford has been makin big trucks for towing for years now, so they should know a little about what they are doing, so i give them that.

its just my opinion on it lacking power, im not just taking into account the 1/4 but when i test drove it, it didnt have the same punch that the endurance had, its just not there. i agree that fords been making trucks for a while and should have a pretty good truck now concidering their shady past.
why do you think the ford should be rated higher then the titan in towing? just because they been making trucks so long?

I definitely, in an unbiased mode, feel that Titan IS the best full-size truck...the rad style, power, options, ride quality, comfort level, etc. PLUS the fun factor all combine to make it #1...I'd have to really stretch to suggest that Titan lacks anything-except perhaps a Harley Davidson Edition like Ford had...just imagine Titan with that sharp silver/black two tone treatment!

I've test driven all of the full size pickups. I'd definitely say that the Titan is the best truck for me. It really depends what your needs are. It isn't the least expensive, that would be the Ram. I didn't really pay much attention to the Chevy prices because I liked it the least. It is a better bargain than the Toyota and the F-150. Other than price, I don't see that any other truck puts together a total package as good as the Titan.
The only things I would say that the Titan lacks is a premium power front bench option and a real blue. That Magestic blue that they use on the sedans would be really nice.

Again, Briarman not to take away from the discussion, but 5:04 AM! This is one Titan Dude!

Back to the subject...I hopefully will find out Ford and Titan towing capabilities this fall on a long towing journey going elk hunting. Buddy of mine bought F 150 same day I got Titan we will be going on over a 2000 mile trip towing lots a gear. I'll know then what I think I know now. He's already said no racing! :crying:

Titan...except

I'd have to say I like the Titan overall but in regards to utility, which is my main reason for purchasing a truck, here's a few areas where the competition exceeds...

Dodge:

-Best commbination of Cab/Bed...four doors with decent rear seat room and a 6'3" bed.

-Bench seats...why did Nissan decide all of us bench seat folks are "second class"...this is my biggest gripe with the Titan. I have "captains chairs" in my SUV right now and it's one of the main reasons I want to dump it!!!...a huge arm rest and room to seat another person...a downgrade??

-Largest front seat area...I think you sacrifice some ground clearance and appearance with the RAM but it has much more overall leg/shoulder room up front...sit 3 people in the middle of the bench seats on both RAM and Titan and you'll see what I mean.

-Best looking truck

Ford:

-Supercab models are pretty spacious in the back and are available in 5.5', 6.5' beds & 8' beds.

-Deeper bed may be hard to reach into but you do gain more cubic feet which is a decent trade off, especially if you go with the CC.

-Like the looks of the F-150 better than Titan too

What I really like about the Titan...they did a nice job at combining the "sporty" feel of the older, smaller trucks with the utility of a big truck...handling, drivetrain, and interior are much more progressive. It feels like you're in a cockpit when driving. The big 3 need to fire all of the designers who create their interiors and steal some folks from Acura, Infiniti...

PS...almost forgot to say...I'm not impressed with any of the seats in any of today's trucks...for all the hype and marketing about "tough guy" " big guy" vehicles, the seats these days are a joke. Really think one of these companies should bring in a performance seat manufacturer and make it available as an option. If and when I get my Titan, at the least the driver seat will have to go...too small and too mushy...can't imagine how soft these seats will be after a few years of use.

i think this post is ridiculous considering:

FORD has been making 1/4 ton trucks for a LONG time and they still aren't a clear cut winner bye any means (regardless of what the crappy *** biased "motor trend" idiots think, probably subsidised by ford). what have they been doing all these years, hmm i guess producing marginally decent trucks and making huge profits off of zombies engrossed in sticking with, "what my daddy drives" mindsets. thank god for a brain or we'd all be stuck driving F150s or FORD "LOBOS" (that's what they call their F150s in MEXICO) ; you know because FORD makes parts in MEXICO even their trucks, just like dodge - so much for giving Americans jobs.

NISSAN jumps in to the full size fray for the 1st time and already bam!!! Ford owners are pulling the ol' peacock manuever because they're afraid of how good the TITAN really is. NISSAN did not f uck around with the TITAN, they put together a truck ready to kick ***.

BYE the way Ford has had a notorius history of putting up exaggerated numbers. We're talking just about every vehicle they made their claimed numbers were always higher then what showed up on dyno tests, especially v8 mustangs.

my opinion - the TITAN is in a class bye itself, much higher class!!!

best "full size" 4wd pickup

Titan is the best "full size" 4x4 pickup now (power to weight ratio at 14.2# per FP torque & 17.4#/HP; stock 33x11.5 tires; Rancho shocks; Dana 44 axles with rear E-locker in May; 5 speed Tranny with 4wd-Lo range; utility bed).

However, as long as it didn't turn out to be a lemon all other 4x4s (equipped with Limited Slip Differential "LSD" axles and 4wd-Lo range) will do the job: Tundra, GMC/Chevy, Ram, F-150, Frontier, Tacoma, etc..
