I was wondering if he went with a custom grind because of the truck pull having different demands then racing. WIKEDVK has a custom C8 grind IIRC

they are just about the same as a s7 as what I have, they are made to be above 3k rpms, if u look at the dyno graph I posted on fb I'll see what I mean, in all, walt u are gonna be like " this can't be my truck"!!

don't be disappointed when it lags a bit around 2k starting off and when it hits 3k, oh boy it's like a rocket ship!!

Is there really a huge difference between running cams and not?

Dave Did you just ask if cams really made a difference? LOL I sure as hell hope so! Yes i have cammed a lot of engines..its a huge increase. And these cams have a wide power curve and stay in longer toward 6K rpm.

The CS2 cams shouldn't have the lag like the S7s. The CVTCS will help get rid of that.

Plus lag comes from duration... The CS2 have a 252 duration intake side and 256 exhaust side.

S7 has 262.5 duration and same S2 exhaust side.

Good rule of thumb, for every 10deg duration added over stock you will shift peak power Rwhp by 500rpm.

So for instance, 07+ titan makes peak rwhp at 5000-5200 area. You just shifted it up to around 5500-5600, which is perfect for your pulling, becuase your at redline basically.

And you will make more power from 5000rpm to redline with cams anway, over stock.

The stock titan manifold will stop making power around 6200-6500rpm with any cam over stock.

I shouldn't say stop, it just levels off.

urs def won't be as bad as mine, with just my stall I could probably shave close to a second off my 0-60. that's the downfall for us 04-06 guys, when I bought my truck I had no idea I was going to so most of this **** to it lol. which I'm sure most of the rest of Titan owners didn't till they found this site lol.

this should really give u an upper hand walt all these new goodies u got they won't be able to touch ur truck

How does it feel so far?

Its nuts from 3K and up...feels the same 3K down. Reminds me of an ols school V8 when the 4 barrel carb opens up  I could not be happier with this investment. Its the biggest increase so far. If you are serious about racing or just plain performance these are a must! I am pumped to get the new intake from Bob at peakspeedshop.com I need a new set of 440cc injectors and walbro 255 pump first. Then the true 4 inch intake and more tuning!

hahaha, I love my truck from 3k it is friggin awesome!!

that's my fear is I'm going to need injectors but I don't think the manifold is aggressive enough to need them, log a duty cycle and see where ur at.

4" intake will be done next weekend when I get it welded
