Best Tires in 2016?

Guys,

I need your opinions. I have a 2011 Nissan Titan SV CrewCab.

Running 265/70R18

I wasnt a fan of the goodyear wrangler SR-A as i only got about 25k out of them each....

Looking for a good AT tire. I was looking at Firestone Destination AT but looks like the tire is discontinued so i cant even get people to order them. I can order them on TireRack.com or something like that but wanted to know if there was anything comparable or something else you recommend.

I was looking at the GoodYear Wranglers All-Terrain with Kevlar.. but before i spend $233 per tire. i wanted to see if anyone else has any optinions..

I was looking at the Nitto Terra Grappler.

You can get 10 different answers on the "best" tire from 10 different people. I do not like Goodyear of BFG tires. Have never had good experiences with them. Michelin LTX M/S 2's I would say are the best road tire money can buy. Rain, snow, slush, I never had an issue and never thought twice about braking.

I currently run Terra Grapplers and I really like them. I've managed to lock them up in the rain, but only if I'm stomping on the brakes from a decent speed (35+). Off road I haven't had any issues, although I haven't intentionally tried to get stuck. I've got near 30k on them and they look like I can get at least another 20k out of them. Road noise will be very slightly noticeable if you're all stock, but the radio will cover it no problem.

I rank mine like this. Michelin ltx ms2, michelin ltx at2, falken wild peaks, good year duratracs, then bfgs.

I am a huge fan of the wild peaks at tire. On my second set and got 65k+ miles out of my last set. Great all purpose tire at a good price. Good on and off road use and great for towing.

Plus the michelins are not available in the size I want. They do come in a 265 70 18 and a 275 70 18

And see, I hated the Michelin LTX M/S 2's had them on my Expedition and the wore out way to quickly and the thing always felt loose in bad weather with them. I had better luck with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus tires.

Like you said, you'll get all kinds of answers and tires can almost be like politics.

I've always had good luck with the Michelin MS/2 tires. The wet traction is excellent and they lasted far longer then any other tire. I have the standard Alenza's and they were decent but snow traction was not as good and they wore a little quicker.

Yeah I had the Michelin's on for 40k with bad alignment, wore the outsides bald. Got an alignment and put another 15k on them before I replaced with Nitto's.

Once I burn up the OEM's, my only choice in tires are either Michelin LTX AT2's or the MS 2's. I have had great luck with both. The only negative is they are a little pricey.

That is what I am running also. No issue with them so far. Only have 6k on them. I had a set of Firestone Destination AT and they were shot around 30k miles with religiously rotating and having a alignment done.

The goodyear all terrains with kevlar came on my titan when I bought it. Pure junk. I put bfg ko2s and it's like night and day. If you want a more on road tire go with the michelins. If you want something a little more for offroad go with the ko2s or goodyear duratracs

Michelin makes a great tire (technically you can say they make BFG's)

I had the Toyo M/T's on my Superduty and thought they were an excellent choice for a mudder, quiet and wore well (for a mudder). I've heard many good things about their A/T.

Ran an early set of the directional Yokohoma M/T's on a pre-runner F100, excellent offroad tire that melted in my driveway in AZ. I didn't get 15k miles out of them.

Always been a fan of BFG's ran a set of the Baja T/A's for 30k miles, mostly street. Turned into a hockey puck in cold conditions (not surprised) and handled ok in the rain, but for a tire that's basically bulletproof and a full race tire they rode well and balanced out. The All Terrains were my favorite, had a couple sets on a Ranger and a set on an old nissan hardbody. I was dead set on getting the new KO2's when these stock Rugged Trails wear out for my Titan but after hearing many reviews of the Wildpeaks, seeing the new AT3's, the fact that they're $100 a tire cheaper than the BFG in the 305/65 and come with a 55k miles warranty vs no warranty for the BFG it was an easy choice. If you want an All Terrain the Wildpeak A/T3W is hard to beat.
