Hello Peeps, nice board you all have going.
First post, just joined tonight. Got my '08 KC Majestic Blue Pro4X about a month ago. Big Tow, Rockford Fosgate, all that. Just turned 1,600 miles and it got it's first oil change. Best I can manage so far is a 12.6mpg average, and that's setting the cruise at 65mph on the interstate. (people hate me lately.)
I've had my eye on the Titan's for awhile, (3 chevy trucks worth, DIE CHEBBY DIE!!) and finally decided I could no longer wait for the 3/4 ton. That, and the Pro4X package is just too dope. This is our 4th Nissan, (87 Sentra, 97 Altima, now an 05 Quest,) so we are sold on their quality...plus, FWIW, they brought less yankees with them when they came to town than Saturn did. Spring Hill is infested; while Smyrna is still nice. Just mi dos centavos,
...but I digress.
To date, the CD player "went to live on a farm with your uncle Jack," at 700 miles. Within 2 days of my initial inquiry 5 reps from Nissan were at the Stones River dealership taking pictures and replacing my deck. Nice people, mailed my cds back in another 2 days. New deck performs flawlessly. Guess it helps to live close to a plant, even though mine was born in Canton.
Noticed that bad wobble that I've read about on here. Actually noticed it at 22 miles on the odo on the way home, but figured it was a one off and would correct it with the first oil change. My dealer says there's a TSB on the Balancing and Shims and it'll take a few hours to correct. It's not a huge pain, but it does seem a lot more out of balance more than one would expect of a brand new ride....low rpm up hills definitely accentuates the problem. Told the dealer I'd bring it in when I had the hours to burn, and will post up when I see resolution. (Haven't counted weights on the driveshaft yet.)
Heard rumors of a fuel management system on the '09's...that'd be the only real thing I could dislike about the truck, but since I bought it for work, I'm writing off the gas anyway....just hate to dump $85 bucks everytime I fill up. The RF Stereo was a letdown compared to the wife's Bose in the Quest, especially as a $2,150 option. Beyond MPG and the less than anticipated sound system, (still decent,) I love my Titan. It's a headturner and a total pleasure to drive.
