Blinking Airbag light on the instrument cluster

I've tried resetting it multiple times by turning the key on, wait for the blink and turn off the key within one second, rinse and repeat three times. That works for a day or so and the light on the cluster starts blinking within the next day.

Any ideas?

You might be able to do the key on/off routine to get it in diagnostic mode and count the blinks to get the code, in order to try and diagnose the problem.
