I just purchased a rebuilt Titan and the owners manuel hasn't come in the mail yet so I have a question.

I have a light flashing when I get out the truck. It is a little car with a key in the middle of it. It happens whenever, the truck is off. It happens with the keys in the switch, and when they are out. It continues flashing after I lock the doors and it will still be going in the morning. It blinks about every 5 seconds. It is on the top right side of the gauge area.

Truck runs fine. Everything works fine.

Can someone tell me what this light indicates? Why it is on?

That is the security light. It is normal for it to blink as you describe. It is indicating that the immobilizer system is armed. Your keys have a transponder in the head, (unless you have an XE King Cab) when the truck registers the chip, as you turn the key on, it deactivates the system allowing the truck to start. Perfectly normal behavior! Enjoy your new truck!!!
