The blower motor stays on all the time even with the dash switch off. I unplugged the wiring harness from the dash switch and its still on. So i'm assuming it's somewhere else under the dash. Any ideas? Thanks.
Bad blower relay could be the cause. Locate and pull. Fan should stop. If not, I can't envision how a blower motor resistor could short 'on' with the key off, but pull and check with multi meter while you're down there.
Thanks for you advice. I got on you tube and searched for something like you said. It came up with a video for replacing the Variable Blower Control Module. I believe this is the same part you were talking about. There were several comments about people having the same issue as I did and replacing this for them fixed the problem. I decided to take a chance and just buy it ($70). Took 3 or 4 minutes and problem fixed. It is right under the glove box. And did not have to remove anything to get to it. That was nice.
