A few questions:

1) Why is this posted in the buy/sell section?

2) Why is this posted at all??

3) Who Cares??

A guess on a few answers:

1) Obviously in the wrong section, maybe a mod should take the liberty and move to the appropriat section.

2) Apparently he wants others opinions

3) Obviously he cares since he posted it

Just my .02 :)

I guess I'll have to stay German and go with the BMW. My other care is a Porsche 911.

i'd say lexus because we have 1 of each and the bmw seems to break down more. lexus 140xxx miles = 1 ac blower went out, 1 water pump, bmw - 67xxx miles = 1 ac compressor failure, 1 engine problem/ electronic problem, 3 weeks of waiting for special order on german parts. bmw nice looking cars but once it goes down, it keeps on going.

For a car you're going to get rid of before the warranty expires, BMW.

For a car you will be keeping for a while and you could depend on, Lexus.

I had a 740i and it was a great car, BUT....I ended up getting rid of her after the warranty expired cause it was like having a ticking time bomb for something to go wrong. The folks at Toyota took the highest end Mercedes and stripped it completely down to "reverse engineer" the Lexus. I've heard great stories from others about their Lexus ownership experience as well. I'll have to go with LEXUS.

Depends on what level.

Between LS and 7-series - Lexus hands down
Between GS and 5 Series - 5 Series
Between IS and 3 Series - if it's 335 then BMW, if not then IS
What he said. But I'd go as low as 330 on the beemer. My next car will be a 330xi.
