I recently sold my 2010 Pro4x for a 2013. Only mods done to the 2013 is a BDGT, K&N CAI and bilstien 5100s. I am wanting to get a deeper exhaust tone, but don't want to get much cis or drone. My questions is which one would be the better choice for both sound and performance. I don't want to spend the extra money for the cat back if there is not much difference between it and just the muffler swap.

jba hands down imo. At this point probably my favorite mod.

Cajun Bpipes | shreveport, LA 71129 I have sound clips of both on my website. Both are excellent and the best mufflers for the Titan hands down. A lot of guys would purchase the JBA catback for the quality and price and swap a Borla 40944 or 400436 in there for a deeper tone. The JBA muffler supplied with the JBA catback is tamer but still a great sounding system and best bang for your buck. You will not get any CIS or rasp with either of these mufflers with the stock manifolds in place. With longtube headers both will have some drone and possible CIS but nothing the UQ resonaotor will not take care of. Check out the "Cajun video clip thread" in the performance section.

nightowl, is the JBA system going to increase the performance enough to justify the additional cost compared to the borla muffler only?
On 04-06 models yes but on the 07+ with newer dual in mufflers no. Your only Borla option for the 07+ stock pipes is the PROXS 40670 and with the stock manfolds and bpipes in place it will be very tame like the JBA. Deeper with growl but tame. The JBA catback is about the best off the shelf catback system performance and sound wise with headers.

I have a 2013 Pro-4X and installed the JBA cutback and Airaid intake and love the setup. I drove it for a few weeks like that and then installed a Vibrant UQ Resonator to quiet it down a little. Sounds great when I step on it, but almost stock sounding when I don't. I have no CIS and only a little drone around 2000 rpm.
