It hasnt got here yet, but is there anything i need to know on the install? does it come with all the bolts or do i have to reuse the ones from the stock box?

does it come with the rubber seal that goes between the hood and box? the pictures on the site dont show it but some users pictures do.

Its the graphite tube one and got it for $250 bnib off craigslist.

how hard is it to add a ram air?

anyone have problems with water splashing up into the box? i dont have fender liners.

You do not need to remove the overflow tank. Just pull the airbox up and out and it will pop over the rubber grommets.
That will save you some time and frustration from the manufacturer's instructions.

it's pretty easy to install and you will use some existing hardware from the air box and some new.

when the first step tells you to jack up the truck and remove the tire and splash guard, do it, you'll see why if you don't.

I haven't had any water issues to date.
Im assuming "splash guard" is fender liners. i dont have those. so do i still have to remove the tire?

I never removed the tire...didn't have any problems.

Depending how often u drive ur T, it maybe wise to purchase an additional filter...so that u can simply swap filters (dirty to clean) eliminating down time for cleaning and drying.

That is a good idea. Never really thought of that. I just clean it but have to wait about a couple hours for it to dry.:bangit:

Yep, I made this mistake of thinkin the filter was completely dry....all the moisture left in it, got sucked into the MAF, causing the truck to buck. NO FUN!:bangit:

My filter needs to be replaced after I washed it the last time I noticed it was starting to rip, but it is like 4 years old so I didn't mind. Time to order a new one!

Sadly enough, AEM was bought out by K&N. New filters are a lil more expensive, but look like that are put together better. Materials are thicker...and filters are now RED.

^Does this mean I can't get a AEM Bruteforce for my Titan now? I really don't want the K&N.

got it installed. wasnt to bad, but two sets of hands helps with the small bolts along the bottom. Its not very loud at all with regular driving, but if you put it down, its a beast. real throaty sound and i can even feel it in the gas pedal!

thanks IBchris!

Glad to see your install went easy. Too bad I didnt see this thread sooner or i would have chimed in that others have said that its easier just to use zip ties instead of the screws for the bottom bolts on the fender. Now you have joined the bruteforce club

Is the new red filter still a dry filter or does it need to be oiled like the rest of the K&N's?

A simple Ram Air is done by mounting a Pep Boys (cant recall the brand really, but a ricer brand they sell) Aluminum CAI Flange with a 3" Tube onto the side of the AEM Box. Mount a Silicone Rubber CAI Hose on it and a Shop Vac Hose into that and aim down towards the Frame. This was a popular mod a few years ago. I did a fancier one later, up to the hood with a Hood Scoop.
