I recently installed my new P3 brake controller. This unit works sooo much better than the unit in our old tow vehicle that I could not be more pleased.
I bent a bracket to attach the controller to the metal frame behind the dash without having to touch the plastic of the dash.
So far it is working out pretty well. The wife is making a tow today of about 70 miles and I'm sure she will let me know if there is a problem.

The first pic is looking through the spokes of the steering wheel on the right side.

The second pic is the mount with controller attached.

The third pic is the brace I put under the dash to help reduce vibration.

The fourth pic is the controller mounted.

hope it doesn't stick out far enough to hit on your knee. Also, I wouldn't want any vibrations with the bracket while braking, it could cause problems with the sensor.

Just my 2 cents.

I have on occasion brushed my knee against it. Usually when I pick up my foot to move around. It does not hamper any of my movements though.

Where did you get those braces? I'm pretty sure those didn't come w/ the brake controller.
