I have a 2006 titan my brake light comes on and brakes grind, turn of then restart everythings fine. Scares the hell out of me .

Sudden Total Brake Failure

Mine exhibited this and ended up have the brake booster replaced to fix. There was a recent class action settlement regarding this issue too. Not sure of the details but there may be some compensation to help recover some of the cost for the fix.
