Does anyone elses' brakes squeal at low speeds?? I've checked my pads and they're good (wear gauge not rubbing).

brake noise is annoying
This is an ongoing debate on the SRTforums also...most people are going to the EBC or Performance friction pads. Supposedly don't squeal as much and less brake dust. I still have my factory pads on my truck and haven't experienced a squeal....but...the brake dust is ridiculous.

The trade-off to having a pad that gives you good stopping power is to sometimes have an annoying squeal when they heat up. I have been experiencing this for years on my TT 300ZX. I have Skyline GTR calipers and brakes on the Z....same thing....squeal when they are put into the paces.

Well it only really does it at low speeds, like idling through a parking lot, then when you apply the brakes it goes away. i can't figure it out. I wonder if there's some dirt stuck in one of the pads???
Your brakes are glazed!! Take the pads off, and put them on a belt sander, and have your rotors turned. It will fix the problem.

Mine do in the rear, just started a few days ago. Like you said I can only hear it at low speeds. Mine aren't exactly squealing though, it's more like a metallic rubbing. Maybe my emergency brake is out of adjustment. I have to take my truck to the dealer because the CD player is starting to go out, the plastic plate surrounding the tailgate handle is coming loose, and the plastic molding on the back window is coming off. I guess I will mention it to them then.

That is exactly what mine have been doing for a few weeks. I am taking it in this Saturday to have it looked at. Did you ever get it fixed? What was the problem?
