Does anybody know if you have to lose your oem tow hooks when attaching a brush guard? They all seem to use the tow hook anchors to attach the brush guard. Is there anything that prevents you from using longer bolts and reattaching the tow hooks when bolting on the brush guard?
Thanks for reading.

The only thing that may prevent that is the distance between the surface the bolt threads into and the bumper. It's kind of a tight fit already, let alone adding the bullbar bracket(1"+/-), plus the tow hook (1"). You'd need at least a 3" long bolt, which means you'd need 5"+/- of clearance between the frame and bumper. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the info! I'm not impressed with the brush guards I've seen so far. The OEM guards and most of the others, follow the shape of the headlights too much. I keep hoping Ranch hand is going to make one for us. No toy brushguards from these guys, they are meant for business.

I need my hooks, I'm a 2wd that plays in the desert...I WILL get stuck at some time and after my friends stop laughing, the hooks will get me un-stuck...

I bought an oem brush guard from on here and was worried about losing my hooks as I know I will need them.hell i buried mine within a month of having it. but looked looked at a bunch of them and the oem has loops in the mounting bracket to use as hooks. I chose oem because of that and the good price I got on here from a guy.
