Morning all after some hard thought Im keeping my 2007 with big tow 2WD for at least a year or tow (120000 miles). Im hunting for a bit more power when towing. Im adding a cold air intake and was thinking of a bully dog, the extra HP around town would be fun as well and I dont care about gas mileage.

Thoughts fellas on a programmer and cold air intake for some extra power and to help towing. The last 30 minutes of my favorite camping spot she hunts for gears in the worst way and thats when I see that tranny temp rise even with a second cooler running in series (which made a world of difference). Am I on the right track for some ponies to help towing or is the programmer a waste of time?

Its more expensive than a simple plug n play programmer but you might want to consider an Uprev tune instead.. No cookie cutter tunes every one is programmed specific to your truck giving you the absolute best performance you can get. Had many customers who upgraded from other programmers and said they wished they'd just gone Uprev from the beginning..

will I gain anything from these upgrades? I do plan on the muffler next For towing purposes and some fun is this the right move for some extra oomph and help with those shift points towing

BD, 2° timing mod, CAI and Muff = minimal gains. 10HP-20 maybe.
Joe is correct, although BDGT will smooth out the truck with a CAI and better exhaust, it will not give you the maximum gain as will UPrev.
