I am looking into an aftermarket front bumper. I want something beefy, not the pre-runner style.

Any suggestions and photos? Also, if you have one, were you able to use the skid plate with it?

Yes, I have done two on both my Titans. My current T doesn't wear the bumper anymore, for many reasons. I had a Blue Lake Offroad (BLO), custom bumper done for my 2008.5, it was awesome, stout, not too big and not too heavy, winch ready and best of all custom for my taste. Found a wife and kids and the kc had to go. Bought the '14, BLO out of business, TAG out of business so I bought a Fab Fours. Its heavy, stout, sticks out a mile and doesnt look that great on the truck imo. Its too big for the rig and you can really feel the weight with it sticking in front of the truck as far as it does. I sold the bumper and back to stock.

Could I have beefed up the suspension to better suit the bumper install? Probably, but how much coin are you willing to drop for armour? For me, it was better to ditch the bumper, didn't really like it anyway. There are other brands, ARB makes a badazz one, but its gonna cost an arm and a nut.

There is a dude, THEKB or something like that that has the fab fours he will likely chime in shortly.

Personally like the Iron cross.

I think any aftermarket bumper is going to have issues with both the Pro4x skid plate due to design (forward lip) and the non Pro4x since it mounts to the bumper itself

I've been thinking about installing the fab fours winch mount and keeping the stock bumper. Amazon sells the adapter plate and it might work after some modifications to both the winch tray and the front bumper. I know its intended to be used with the fab fours bumpers, but i bet it will work as is by itself. If its just the winch mount you want, this might be an option for you. Unfortunately, we don't drive domestics or toyotas so aftermarket support lacks big time.

Do to wanting my to keep the skid plate, I am looking more at a custom option. Pricing is not too bad either. Cheaper than the Fab Four.

Got a couple prices in the 1000-1500 range for skid plate, bumper, D-ring mounts, and 2 inch receiver in the front

You're so mean Frank! Picking on these poor Titan owners. Sheesh, I thought you had more respect for them. :D

Chad, watch the weight of those bumpers. As Danman said, if you put too much weight out front you'll have to do something about the suspension. When I installed my winch mount and winch I had to upgrade to stronger springs because the suspension kept bottoming out.

Thanks HRTKD.

I am looking at the 2 inch receiver in case I want to run a winch, but don?t want the weight full time. I do know a plate bumper would add 150 lbs (maybe more) to the front

Depending on the front sag, I can bump the bolstering 5100s up to the top or possibly upgrade the springs

The Titan went in today to get the bumper build started.

I will post pics as I get them.

I am having a custom front bumper built. It will be the bumper and skid plate. I am having a 2? receiver built in as well so I have it in case I ever want to run a winch up there. It would allow me to winch from the front or back with a winch on a 2? receiver mount.
