I have acquired a nice dent in my chrome front bumper and I'm looking to replace it ASAP. I have saw some replacement on eBay and Amazon for around 200+ range

Has any one on hear bought a chrome eBay or Amazon bumper and if so how is the quality and fitment.

I'd check out your salvage/pull-a-part yards first before you go the ebay/Amazon route. At least you can see those in person before you buy.

The cheaper eBay and Amazon offerings are typically thinner steel... and not typically the quality of OEM.

They are cheaper in cost for a reason.

80-20... I have heard that about 20% of their stuff fits ok... 80% doesn't and is usually returned by body shops. Not a good ratio.

I bought a rear one that I have yet to install, because everything I found used had dents in it. I will probably keep my original and get it redone while the ebay one rides around on the truck. It seems that the metal isn't quite as thick, but this is just a guess because the old one is still on the truck.

Anything can be done. It just depends on your skill, patience, and time allotted to the repair. With the proper metal working tools, it can probably be cleaned up to a reasonable level. If you have trouble opening a soda can, it might not be advisable to attempt it. Only you know your capabilities.

really shocked here that none of the TitanTalk faithful tried to push OP into an aftermarket PreRunner or IronCross-like bumper LOL

Best of luck Titanxe06

I saw his price of about $200 and knew one of those would be out of the question .

Well? Now that your gig is all settled in I suppose it is time that you bought yourself one.
