Does anybody know how to do the burnout mod. I know you got to cut a wire from the pedal or the computer, but how do you do it?

go to Advanced Search and search by 'thread title' for burnout mod. There are about a thousand posts on how to do it. Fairly uncomplicated - the worst about it is bringing the switch wire through the firewall.

I thought you could cut it behind the gas pedal instead. I was gonna do that instead

You can, also hook up a switch to it though, and dont forget to disconnect your battery, I didnt and blew and fuse and the one that was bad looked good and one part of it was good and one was bad . Truck didnt go into gear when it blew the fuse.

Id much rather hook it uo to the pedal than the ECU. My switch isnt gonna be too far so it should be an easy mod for me. Better blowing a fuse than the computer

I have an 08 and unplugged it and it worked. There are two similar plugs on the brake, maybe you grabbed the wrong one. Remember the sequence - turn the truck on, shift into N, put on parking brake, turn off, unplug from the brake, turn truck on again and roast tire.

Unfortunately if you do it at the brake you lose your brake lights when you flip the switch. Do it at the ECU to keep your brake lights when in burnout mode.
