Saturday night I was at a bar and a worker walked up to some friends and I wondering if one of us happened to drive a Nissan Titan. I said yes, he asked, Silver? I repeated with Yes...he said come with me. My heart started beating like crazy, thinking my truck got broken into.

Come to find out the manager of the bar and another employee were taking out the trash and happened to witnessed an INTOXICATED woman on the ROOF of my truck, slips and falls onto my windshield. The lady walked across the street to where she was parked and the manager stopped her until the police showed up. The cops were across the street for a while and then a officer finally came to me to get my registration and license. He asked if I wanted to press charges and I said as long as it the windshield gets fixed I'M FINE.

Yesterday morning came around and while looking at my truck I notice small dents on the roof w/ scratches, and also scratches on the hood as well. More damage than I thought. So i had another officer come out to write a follow up report (supplement). So now I'm waiting to hear from another officer tomorrow after they have looked at the report on what it will take to press charges on her arse...

This reminds me of the case in Singapore several years back where the American was canned for spray painting some dudes car. If we adopted a more severe penalty for crimes like this, they would not happen.
But yea, good luck getting that past the tree huggin, liberal, bleeding hearts of this country.

Steelyeyedone I agree 1000% with you. This is my line of work unfortunately and I see it getting worse every single day. They are giving the criminals 10x's the rights that you or I could even dream of. They baby these criminals and treat them like they are the victims and 9 times out of 10 they barely get a slap on the wrist until they've commited the crime a half a dozen times then they "might" get 18-20 months(yeah months, not years) up the road. It's truly a sickening and depressing job in these times. I watch the same people come in over and over and over for the same exact stuff and nothing ever happens to them. And I think the worst part is that most of these dirtbags like it more in jail than they do on the street! They come in with a big smile on their face hollering to all their homies they see, it's like a family reunion for christ's sake. The lib's are to stupid and ignorant to see the facts that the softer we are on crime the worse our crime rate gets. Why in the world would anybody stop comminting crimes and making tons of money if there's no punishment?? They need to make people responsible and pay for their actions.

OP I feel for ya and I would be irate if that happened to me. As much as I hate to say it though if TN is even remotely similar to FL she won't get squat but maybe a few days in jail for disorderly conduct, or criminal mischief and the only way you'll get your truck fixed is for you to go through your own insurance company or pocket and spend lots of time and money taking her(who's probably welfare trash anyways and has nothing) to civil court for the money. They very rarely make them pay reperation and even when they do they don't make it a fair amount and they don't enforce it being paid. Good luck though.

I didn't even get to see the woman that did it. I got the police report last night and it states..."Ms. ______, stated that she didn't know why she was standing on Mr. McMurray's vehicle. Ms. _____ had been drinking and had a ride home. Both witnesses stated that Ms. ______ didn't damage the windshield on purpose, she slipped and fell getting down. Ms. ________ stated she would pay for the damage to the windshield. "Officer" observed the damage to the bottom center of the front windshield. There was no other damage to the vehicle."

Like I said before, I had another officer come out to get a follow up to include the scratches and dents. Hopefully that will follow through...
