If you are looking for a Titan in Dallas, I highly recommend that you contact Jerod Smith at Grubbs Nissan in Bedford. He is willing to work with you to get the truck that you want.

The whole process of buying from Grubbs was flawless! Everyone that I worked with was very friendly and didn't use any high pressure sales tactics.

There are at least two good places in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I bought mine right up the road in Irvine at Bankston Nissan. Like you say, no hassle, and I found the truck on NissanUSA checking the Dealer inventory lists. They actually had two that I liked but the first time I talked to a salesman and he said they weren't discounting them since they were a new product. Next time I asked for the new car sales manager and away we went. Approx. $2500 off MSRP considering steprail add-on at dealership. And that was with no deposit required and no haggling!

Not going to give me any props Dave for referring you there? :crying: This is the same dealer that I bought from and used the same salesguy. Actually he is Internet and Fleet Sales. Jared Smith is awesome...no pressure, let me drive the truck for a whole week before all the paperwork was signed, got me two full tanks of gas free, ordered a coin tray at no charge, and I was able to buy at invoice...just don't let them know I told you that. Dave, I wished you would have used my name when you bought your Titan...as Jared just told me he would have sent me a $100 credit at the dealer :crying:....Derek McKean btw...

dman,

I'm not giving you any props because you didn't refer me there. We just happened to buy from the same guy!! I talked to Lance Cummings on Dec. 31, 2003 about a new Titan. He offered me $100 over invoice for any Titan on the lot. I wasn't ready to buy.

Fast forward to March. I'm ready to buy now, so I call Lance and find out he's been promoted to Finance and Jerod Smith is his replacement. I had the deal working with Jerod on March 2nd and I contacted you via PM on March 7th.

I told Jerod that we [Derek McKean and I] talked prior to my purchase, but I didn't tell him you referred me, because that's not the truth. He mentioned to me he was trying to set up something where he could give $100 service credit for each referrel. He didn't explicitly say he was going to give you anything though.

As far as Bankston, Greenville, Trophy, Courtesy. They weren't even in the ball park. Courtesy wanted more than MSRP. When your within a $100 of invoice, MSRP becomes a joke. Trophy spend 5 days trying to find what I wanted.... Jerod found it overnight! Greenville Nissan found what I wanted in New Orleans and wanted to charge me the $500 freight to get the truck to Greenville; I declined of course.

BTW, if you guys do talk to Jerod, tell them DMAN (a.k.a. Derek McKean) sent you. As much as I like the way I was treated by Grubbs Nissan and Jerod, I probably won't be going back.... 80 miles round trip!

My bad Dave. I re-read the pm's we sent to each other. I was just under the impression that you spoke with Jarod AFTER I mentioned his name to you since you hadn't mentioned him beforehand. Sorry about that...I was really only teasing you a little in the post above (hence the little crying smiley).

I think we can both agree that Jarod is great and that Grubbs took very good care of both of us. I am taking my baby in Tuesday for an oil change and to fix a few dash creaks and rattles. I will let you know how the service experience goes afterwards. I would hate to see a great sales experience get tarnished with crappy service. Fingers are crossed.

Hey Tranman409...If you're coming to Houston, go see my guy at Tom Peacock. His name is Calvin Williams and he was and has been awesome to deal with. Great price and easy going...no pressure.

Just another option for you.
