Buying a Titan

I've been lurking the forums forever it seems now. Trying to find the right Titan to purchase. Finally found one locally and I was looking for a few opinions on the price.

Truck is a 2006 SE. Cloth interior, 4x4, Crew Cab, Towing Package, small lift(leveling kit?), 20" rockstars with new tires. 36k miles. Has small dent in the front. Small dent in rear. Both not noticable unless pointed out. A few scratches on the front fender. Otherwise looking good.

Guy started at 18.5k, but has been trying to sell it for some time. Convinced him to go down to 17k this week.

Carfax checked out perfect.

Think this is a good price in this market? Thanks in advance for your opinion!

Seems like a pretty fair price. Have you had a mechanic look it over?

72k.......I'm putting about $1k into though before it officially gets listed. Just installed new front fender liners, replaced oil and coolant, getting small door dings pulled, and getting an end cap on the front bumper painted (has paint cracks no dents)...And I have warranty as well, for another 2.5 years

aside from a mechanic check out, that does sound like a good deal! I got my 08' as a "Certified Pre-owned" from Nissan for 21, 500 (36k miles). It was an SE with some bells and like...one whistle and no upgrades at the time.

Looks sweet!

That's not bad at all and gives me hope that I'll be able to sell my '05 for around the same price. :D

If those are 20" wheels, isn't that more than a small lift/leveling kit? i would be curious what exactly has been done underneath as it seems like it is sitting much higher than a leveling kit would give you. I know next to nothing about lifts, but i DO know I've read about issues with coil bucket contact and steering issues when certain things are done improperly. It's a nice truck for sure, but i am very careful when it comes to buying someone elses modified vehicle. Especially if you're not getting any kind of warranty.

Not sure where you live, but patience is a virtue.
