I am getting ready to do the 08' brake upgrade, (08 rotors/calipers), and I will be ordering the calipers from rockauto. I was wondering since there is a core charge on them if I was able to send in my 05' calipers after installing the 08' calipers? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am wondering since the core charge is like $60... So basically can I send in my 05' calipers and get the core charge back? I didn't know if it had to be part specific or year specific or if they just wanted Nissan Titan calipers? Thanks for any help given from members who have done this of for general responses!

I'd just send them the 05 calipers. I think they just want a 'core' to send back to the re-manufacturer.

That is exactly what I wanted to know... thanks so much for the input! Look for a call from me soon for an order of 08' rotors and some hawk lts pads all around...
