While you can increase and improve the capability and towing characteristic, You cannot increase the capacity. No matter what you do, whatever the capacity sticker says that’s the max you can do. Full stop.

you tow more than the sticker, you get in a crash, your fault or not. You will probably get a citation. Somebody gets hurt or worse you in big time trouble. The reason: you should not have been on the road and you contributed to the incident.

im not a lawyer, but I’ve been a professional driver for years and run trucking companies. Don’t fall for marketing jargon. I’ve seen too many lives lost and ruined by this kind of thinking.

airbags, leaf springs, anti sway hitches all have merits. Nothing changes the sticker.
