I currently tow my vette on an open aluminum without issue but I want to upgrade to an enclosed. I found a nice 20 ft that weighs 2450 empty, my car is about 3500 and maybe 200 lbs of gear in there. The guy at the trailer places thinks its too much for my 09 pro4x with big tow. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

I have a 8.5x20 Hallmark Transport enclosed trailer, with a dry weight of 3277lbs. I've hauled cars/machinery weighing in at 3500/4000lbs. The Titan does just fine, and I don't utilize a WD hitch either. IMO on another note, I do suggest a trailer with upgraded axles over standard equipment. IE: Rubber Ride suspension, it makes a world of difference when towing. Good luck.

Hey there, I know towing and hauling is a great thing to do and a lot satisfying if it is done by owner. But I think it's not that good for too much of weight and for longer distance. It's too much weight, which you are planning to haul and that too on a motorbike, there can be risks and can turn out to be problematic. I went through this I over weighted in hauling and stuck in a situation where I could not haul it further. Then my brother's friend help me out with it who work in an auto shipping New Jersey company which was a great saver for me at that time. So I will suggest you to think before you tow overweight and accordingly take decision. Make sure you can manage a big tow properly and safely. Good luck.

You have no clue. He isn't even close to the max weight of the Titan.

He doesn't have any idea because...He's from Germany. Not a lot of Titans there.
