Cats or no cats

I just picked up some Stillen Lt Headers and was woundering should i put highflow cats or just run without out them? I live in Louisiana so nobody will be checking.
Anybody with some pros and cons of this.

The constant smell that will eminate from your tailpipe without cats is something that most people, myself included, do not enjoy. Even with two cats in the B-pipes, long tube headers produce pretty noxious gases that are hard to live with on cold startup.

If you run cats in the B-pipes you can forfiet the use of the 02 simulators and allow the trucks ECU to do its job and actually monitor the 02's. I am doing this and my truck not only runs like a raped ape, but has not shown a code since I installed the headers in June.

Ive run plenty of cars and a truck with out cats, and never once have I thought it smelled any different, the thought never even crossed my mind. Never heard that one before.

I'm guessing your running highflow cats?
I'm just trying to get some ideas before i send the headers off to be coated.

Me as well, no codes since I replaced a damaged 02 sensor. Works great, thanks again sc186.

Glad to see you're happy with them. You certainly waited long enough,lol.

How is the coating doing at keeping things cool under the hood? Any noticable difference in temps when you pop the hood?

BTW, have you had a chance to update your tune yet?

I ran my 06 without cats, there was a smell on cold start ups but that was about it. I wouldn't put cats on if your putting LTs on. But thats just me.
