Hello All,

i just bought on ebay a supposedly brand new cd player mp3 compatible from an '07 titan, mine is an '05 Titan LE, i just changed the cd player including the dash and everything worked perfectly(cd player, radio etc) except no audio at all, then i removed the '07 one, connected the original back and i have audio again.

do you guys have any idea of what i'm doing wrong or what's the problem.

i'll try to take a look again today.

Thank you All!!!!

The LE factory equipped radio is a Fosgate which uses an external amp. Your 'new' radio is obviously the midline version (non-Fosgate) which does not use an external amp. There are two issues: 1. there is no "amp turn on" lead from the midline radio. 2. If you did turn on the amp the output from the midline radio would likely overload the input to the amp causing sound quality to degrade.

If you want to keep the 'new' radio, then you need to bypass the factory amp. In years past I have written several posts on how to bypass the amp, if you search my screen name you should find them.

I could be wrong, but i think the audio plugs for the 07 and 08 are actually different then the 04-06 versions. By different I mean they use different wiring patterns.

When ASU titan was wiring up his amp, he has 07, I told him what lines I tapped in to (per a thread on here) and it didnt work for him. He had different lines going to his rear speakers than I did. I also tried using an 07 stock HU and it didnt work for my 04, presumably because of the same reason.
