Hey guys,
My first time posting here I've been doing a lot of reading though and theirs some really good stuff on here. I just got my first titan a few weeks ago. I checked the air filter yesterday and was looking a little on dirty side so I replaced it with a spectre filter. Got in it today and noticed the SES light came on so went to autozone and pulled the p1148 code. I've done some research on it and see it could be 02 sensor or I think it was air flow bank 1 sensor. My question is could this likely be related to the change in air filter or is that just a coincidence? I was going to start by cleaning the mass air flow sensor by the intake first before start replacing things. Any input would be appreciated thanks

Welcome aboard. I highly doubt it's the air filter....coincidence IMOP. Clean the Maf first.

Yeh I have a real hard time believing it was either. I forgot to add it's also throwing the p0031 and from what I've read a few people have replaced their air fuel sensor and had the problem corrected. I'm going to try cleaning the maf first before I go spending hopefully unnecessary money.

That filter is an oiled filter. Most likely over oiled. MAF is probably dirty as stated above. Dry filters work best most of the time.

Any recommendation on a non oiled filter.

The one you got will work, if you get rid of some oil. Maybe blow it out with compressed air.

Alright I'll give it a try when get it in garage tomorrow. I got to spend a little time getting the air box to seal right as well. Previous filter was dirty because it was not sealed correctly so want to get that taken care of. Thanks for the help

AirAid MXP with the "dry" filter is a great way to go.....gets rid of the stock air box, plus gives you a bit more horsepower. (Sounds meaner too)!

Im definitely going with a full intake pretty shortly. I just got to do some more reading and decide if I want to wait and get intake and programmer at same time. The filter was just a temporary fix until then
