Hello friends,

I've been searching but unable to find anything on this one. I'm looking to upgrade the climate control interface on my 08.5 T. I have a KC XE. I'm just wondering before purchasing if the plugs will match up. Of course I'll need a new bezel but that's not a major concern. The knobs just look dated and I'm doing some major interior work myself and it needs a sprucing up. Images below are what I'm looking to change. Thanks for the assistance.

The plugs really look the same from what I can tell. You would need to get a new bezel piece where the ac vents are as the caution button is in a different place.

I remember someone tried to do this some years back and it was seriously complicated, because there were a lot of changes to the wires. Sometimes you have to just pick your battles.

On an aside, I get a kick out of seeing my quote up there!
