At the last second, my dealership threw another variable at me.

Right when I was going to finalize my loan with my local bank, the dealership came back and said if you go with our financing setup, we'll give you a 3.5% over 5 years. Well damn, that's 1.5% better than the best deal my bank could offer me. I cannot say no to that.

My question is, does anybody have experience with these guys? I've never used Chase and I don't know much about them. I'm a bit nervous with going through banks that I have no experience with.

You have never heard of Chase?? They are huge.. Who cares anyway?? 1.5% is is a big difference!
You have never hear of Chase ie Chase Manhattan bank. They are one of the top 5 largest Credit card companies. Right up there with Discover and American Express. They also do home loan financing and Obliviously Auto loans. 1.5 % over 5 years will make Quite a difference in the amount of finance charges you will pay! Take the lower rate, Chase is a good bank!

Chase Manhattan gave me 3.19% for 5 years. Supposedly they had a special around 2.6% in January, but I missed that one. This is my first time with them for a car loan, but I'm on my second mortgage with them and have been happy.

I really don't care about the bank that lends me money. I got a good rate on my Titan from a company that I never heard of. Why would I consider paying more to someone I know. A bank is a bank governed by federal rules. Am I missing something here?

Take the low rate. These days most companies wind up selling off their loans anyway to other companies. It really doesn't matter who you go with as long as you keep your payments coming regularly. I actually financed my house through Chase and so far they've been pretty good. No real issues to talk about.

Heck 3.5% for 60 months is very competitive, especially without "special financing deals" being available on the Titans. I was able to 4.89% for 72 months from a local bank in MD, which was lower than any other bank around. Heck as long as your payments is "do-able"...i say go for it. :teethmast
