Cheated on a Titan Talk Purchase!!!
Well what a *hitt* day I've had. I purchased my UpRev cable last week from a TT member for $350 and sent $10 shipping. So to me I thought I got a great deal. Well today received it in the mail and was pretty excited. Called UpRev and ran the software to see if I could get it all installed and guess what it wasn't unmarried from the previous truck. Well UpRev told me I would have to either send it back or pay $300 for the Osiris software. I told UpRev that it should have it already on there, but being the NOOB that I am, he told me it is still on the previous vehicle. Well since I heard that from the Manufacturer I thought to myself well maybe I should contact the seller and get some of my money back $255 and let them keep 50% for the cable and Cipher software or send it back and see what they can do. Knowing that there was a possibility that they couldn't access their truck. WRECKED:eyebrow:!!!
So I contact the seller via personal email with this, and the responses pissed me off more than anything and on top of that being short and deliberate. "My truck is gone" >Well NO $hi* :huh:< ; next response, "There has to be a way to unmarrie it I already spent the money let me see what I can do" > WTF!!Already spent the money and what about the money from other sells??<
So after the short responses and myself explaining and trying to reason and telling them to call me that UpRev will only do the $300 or have to unmarry it from the truck himself. Well seeing that there is no truck we only have one option!:bangit: So being the time oriented person, impatient, and anal about my money. I filed a dispute 6 hours later and the response I get is via email, "I was going to try to unmarry it but now you opened a dispute"
I told the seller that the dispute can be closed easily and never seen again if they will just send what I ask for(the $255). Instead the seller escalates the dispute to claim and so on and so on. So now I'm screwed and having to pay $660 to get a used Osiris Standard. I do have all the emails between the seller and I and will be more than happy to provide it to Paypal, but I highly doubt I will receive my money.

has anyone ever disputed a pay pal purchase? It was my understanding it was very easy.
$360 for the Uprev cable?? The seller knew it wasn't unmarried from the truck and should've stated as such. Put his azz on blast. Hope you get it resovled in your favor bro', GL.

Hmmmm. Sucks get screwed like that. I did a dispute via paypal for some parts i ordered from a company who are closed but still allowing you to buy there non existing product online. Got my 340 bucks back in 3 days with one phone call.

WILLIAMSENG1 just had a post selling goodies. His truck was totaled he listed an uprev!! I'm guessing it him!! ?

It just pissed me off that he wouldn't talk to me and if he did he would only send one sentence answers. This by all means is the sellers fault. The seller did not disclose they didn't have access to the truck or that it was gone during the sale of the product. There should be no reason why Paypal wouldn't side with you.
The seller flat out mislead/deceived the buyer, period.
Try contacting Paypal directly and explain what the situation is, if not done so already. You can always tell the seller you are looking into legal actions and you have proof he withheld information from the sale.

I looked at his Irrawaddy score before I even purchased and he has one bad and one good. The good one was most recent so I went with that. Should have really thought it through but really wanted the UpRev.

FYI...(cause paypal sucks in getting your money back) put your AMEX card in paypal to pay for stuff. AMEX gets your money back within 24hrs and they go after the seller HARD. My personal experience.
See I knew I'd have someone being premature but I knew this guy was seeing all my emails and receiving every message bc I would tag them with read receipts. How hard is it to make a phone call to Uprev to find out a reason after myself the buyer has already done it and told you the only solution. I gave him my phone number twice and he had my emails. I even told him I'd work with him on the money to just return $255 and I'll call it good. How hard is it to respond to emails if you have a smart phone. He instantly replied once he found out about the dispute via email. Yet he knows that a dispute can be dropped once an agreement has been reached. The guy is a crook and now I know that after seeing this isn't his first time doing it on here and I shouldnt have been so dumb to go with the deal after seeing he ripped someone off worse than me by not sending the product or money back. I actually thought people of like minds, Titan owners would treat each other fairly. This is the second time in a few weeks I read about bad TT brothas. I guess some people just don't have enough dignity and do BS like that. OP, just remembre brotha, "every dog has his day" and your loss is our gain as you are saving others from getting robbed.
Looks like he stiffed someone else out of some step rails to. Over a month and no ship.
