While on a 5 hour road trip traveling at 45mph I had the check engine light flash 2 or 3 times and the engine was shaking a bit. This happened for about 2-3 minutes then it was fine.

Truck is a 2018 SV with 30k miles and never had any problems. It didn't act up the whole 5 hour trip back either.

Will a code be logged into the history of the vehicle Nissan can look up, or will I be wasting my time going to the dealer service department?

Thank you in advance.

You may have a pending code, or maybe nothing. Rather than the dealer, stop by an auto parts store and have it read (but not cleared).

Did you recently refuel? Could be something something as simple as some moisture in the tank. Going to the dealer means they will guess as usual.

I was thinking the same thing, especially during a road trip. I heard some horror stories about some old gas stations that have some underground tanks that didn't take too kindly to the ethanol in today's fuel.
