Bummed, hopefully nothing major but the check engine light came on last night.

Dealership said as long as its not flashing and the truck is running like normal could be as simple as a gas cap. Will find out tomorrow. it just doesn't seem like they make things to last anymore

My 2014 popped a vdc and abs light on my way home after purchase...literally drove off the lot and had the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. When I got home I called the dealership, they ssid bring it in the next day and they would run diagnostics. They were suprised that it popped lights with less than 100 miles on the odometer. Long story short, a simple reset was all it needed. Not a problem since...42k later.
Good luck with the truck it's probably nothing serious, share the dealerships findings please

So got the call that it is fixed. He said they had to reflash the CPU... I asked why he said there was an update to the CPU like there is an update to your phone. yeah ok... so all trucks throw a code when a new cpu update comes out yeah dont think so.

they probably just cleared the codes. Curious to see what the work order says.

So the mechanic wasn't there but it is showing it was throwing codes

Consult codes P2080, P2082 current as per NTB16-124 ECM

Does that mean they changed something with a Technical Bulletin or that I am current?

However, I can tell something changed because breaking is a lot more sensitive now. barely tapped it and it slammed the breaks, thought it was just that one time but driving it back to work definitely a lot more sensitive.

So how is everything now ?

..my truck just had the check engine light come on and will take in tomorrow since Dealer is closed today (Sunday). Truck is running fine and I don't think it's the gas cap.

The reflash probably fixed whatever was causing the cel. I doubt the service writer meant the cel came on because there was an update available, that would be ridiculous. I'd be interested to see what the code was.

My code was po448 evap vent control valve. Had my oil changed while truck was in too (was due in another couple hundred miles) and now everything is great again. The dealer asked if I drive on a lot of dirt roads because this valve usually doesn't need replaced so soon. I don't drive on any dirt roads, but it has been windy, so who knows ? Covered under warranty :)

Side note: They said it's time to replace in cabin air filter,, Dealer 120.00 so no way, bought two filters at autozone for under 40.00. Careful guys the new 17+ Titans don't have a screw on the filter cover anymore, it's now a cheap tab on each side of cover. The closest one pops off easy but the other side is a far reach (same spot as all Titans behind glove box) and I broke it off. No big deal as it seems to hold fine with just one tab. There is also a bunch of wires/cables that help hole the cover on. I'm pretty sure the filter would stay in even if you chucked the cover... I thought about that-lol
